About Physicians

Physicians play a number of important roles in the Convenient Care industry. Some Convenient Care Clinics (CCCs) directly employ physicians to provide primary care to patients. In many CCCs, physicians collaborate with nurse practitioners (NPs) to provide health care to patients. In other CCCs, physicians collaborate with or supervise physician assistants (PAs).

While CCCs are primarily staffed by advanced practice nurses, a significant number of CCCs employ physician providers (MD or DO) to deliver health care to patients. Physicians working in CCCs have been carefully screened for appropriate training, education and practice history. These physicians often work with nurse practitioners, registered nurses and medical assistants to provide high quality primary care that is both accessible and affordable.
