CCA Committee Opportunities

Executive Committee of the Board: (consisting of the President, immediate-past President, Secretary, Treasurer, and the Executive Director)

- Makes recommendations to the board on all matters pertaining to the welfare of CCA and its members.
- Within defined limits, exercises and discharge powers and responsibilities of the board between meetings.
- Creates board committees, appoints committee chairpersons, and assigns tasks to the committees.
- Monitors progress towards the achievement of CCA's strategic and tactical objectives.

 

 Finance/Audit: (Chairperson is the Treasurer of CCA)

-Oversees development of CCA's annual budget and monitors progress in meeting it.
- Reviews CCA's financial systems and controls to ensure their adequacy.
- Recommends an independent auditor to conduct CCA's annual audit, reviews the audit, and makes related recommendations to the board.

 

Policy:

- Sets CCA's legislative and regulatory objectives and develops programs for achieving them.
- Defines CCA's positions on public policies that could impact the welfare of CCA members and their key constituencies.

 

Membership:

- Develops programs for identifying, attracting and retaining members.
- Develops programs for increasing awareness and enhancing the image of CCA's members among its key constituencies.
- In partnership with staff and when appropriate provides assistance in developing member surveys.



Business Development:

- Develops programs for improving CCA members' business results through cost reductions and revenue enhancements.

 

Clinical Advisory Board:

- Develops and refines CCA's clinical quality standards.
- Assists in oversight and monitoring of CCA safety and quality standards.
- Initiates quality assurance and improvement initiatives.
- Convenes and manages the Clinical Advisory Board.
